Reflections and Possibilities

It’s that time of year again.  We are almost done with the holidays, about to start the new year.  It’s time to wipe the slate clean, start fresh, begin again.  Possibilities are endless, hope is in the air.  It’s also a time of reflection, of what we made it through, of what we learned, remembrance of celebrations, joyful moments, heartbreak and sadness.

We hope that when you look back on the last year, you focus on the good things.  Anything negative just made you stronger, wiser and you got through it.  The good things made it all worth it.

So when you look forward to 2014, don’t be hard on yourself for the perceived failures or disappointments of 2013.  You got here, you survived and better times are ahead.

Ring in the new year with a heart full of gratitude for the lessons learned, for the love that was shared, for the very fact that you are here to celebrate it.  And do that, whether quietly at home or shouting from the mountaintops (or joining the brave in Times Square!), and truly celebrate the possibilities.  Look back with gratitude, look forward with hope.

It’s all there in front of you, so keep going.  You’ve got this.
