HOT TIP:
Did you know that you could decrease your risk of diabetes by 16% just by switching from white rice to brown rice? With white rice, the grain is milled and stripped of its nutritional value. Brown rice has 48 grams of grains in a one cup serving – that’s 48 grams, which is an entire’s days worth of whole grains. The long-grain varieties, like Jasmine or Basmati, have the most fiber.

So when you are out at your favorite Asian restaurant, ask for the brown rice. Keep it stocked in the pantry. And lower your risk for diabetes. See? So simple!
